While in our search for a permanent home, we have located our Saturday program to the Grover Washington Jr. Middle School. with the cooperation of our advocate, Michael Rosenberg , Principal.

. We are still looking for a permanent home to expand all our activities. Several possible sites have been reviewed and considered. A capital fund program has been designed and is under way. Donations to our Building Fund are appreciated.

Mt. Airy Cultural Center, Inc. is exempt from federal taxes under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)(3). All donations to the scholarship fund will be tax deductible, and an investment to a child's musical or educational future. Please consider the "matching funds" option from your employer when donating to MACC, Inc..

".........The first actual beneficiary of the foundation was 14-year-old Steven Kyle Jefferson of Mount Airy, who received a $1,200 tenor* saxophone during the event. Many people around Jefferson, including his parents, Steven and Jackie, knew that the Parkway freshman was going to receive the horn, but the teenager himself did not............"

A correction. In reality, the instrument was an Alto Saxophone. The recipient was speachless.
