Homeless Again

The Mount Airy Cultural Center's founder, Anthony "Tony" Williams, staff, parents and students are once again faced with the prospect of being homeless. In spite of active fund-raising efforts and a diligent search for a "home of our own," we are once again "out in the street" while we await budgetary decisions by the School Reform Commission of the School District of Philadelphia to maintain certain schools open on weekends for community-based programs.

Negotiations are underway between MACC, Cora-Beacon Services and a number of potential organizations willing to host our program while we develop our own location.

Stay tuned for more developments in our saga to continue our Saturday program.
